FAMILIES ALSO BENEFIT FROM THE PROGRAM THROUGH THE CONNECTIONS AND SUPPORT PROVIDED THROUGH THIS NEW COMMUNITY. STUDENT ATHLETES, WHO PROVIDE THE BASIS OF THE EXTENDED SUPPORT NETWORKS WE CREATE FOR THE CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES, ARE TRAINED TO MAINTAIN A STRENGTHS-BASED, FUTURE-FOCUSED OUTLOOK. IN TURN, THEY LEARN LESSONS ON PERSPECTIVE, COURAGE AND PERSEVERANCE, AND ENTER THE WORKFORCE MORE CIVIC-MINDED.
